What to Look Out For

Learning problems don’t usually surface until children go to preschool.  This is also when they begin socializing in a more organized way.  Children learn how to help out, share toys, wait their turn, listen, and be nice to each other.   They make friends and have play dates at each other’s homes.  You might notice Jasmine doesn’t know as many words as her friends, or she has trouble pronouncing sounds.  Maybe you need to repeat yourself several times before she follows through on a request, or literally have to put your face directly in front of hers, before you can get her attention.
